Hanabusa is my signature series and expresses the underlying theme of "overlap."And they are expressed in a dual way.The red and black represent day and night, male and female, the textures represent smooth and rough, light and shadow, and the unstable round shape represents the ultimate balance. The ephemeral beauty created by chance through the balance of many elements produces a momentary brilliance.

I’m a lacquer artist and woodturner based in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, self-taught in everything from wood turning to tool making, and lacquer painting using traditional techniques. I have spoken, exhibited, and taught internationally. Escuela de Artes y Oficios Santo Domingo 2017(Colombia) | Germany and Netherland 2019 | DFT 2022(Germany) | École scoulen2023 (France)
